Upwork My Network is designed to help independent contractors develop connections that may result in larger projects.

What exactly is a My network?

My network, which is only available with freelancer accounts, enables you to search for and connect with other professionals on Upwork so that you can exchange ideas, seek guidance, and work together on different projects.

How does it operate?

• You can send a request to add someone to your network by searching for them by name or email address.
• You can message them once they accept it to communicate with them.

Can you include freelancers who aren't already on Upwork?

Right now, you can only invite others to join your network who have an Upwork freelancer account. Try to encourage other competent individuals you know to sign up for Upwork so you can add them to your network.

What is the view of Upwork My Network among freelancers:

Many people are dubious, primarily because they see how this could lead to spam that looks like it came from LinkedIn.Unless you are familiar with someone's last name or email from prior correspondence outside of Upwork, finding them appears difficult. Many freelancers would prefer to find people based on their areas of expertise.

I personally think it is a very good initiative by Upwork, and it will help freelancers to connect with other freelancers in the same category.

Does engaging in any network activity put my Upwork account in danger of suspension?

That means you cannot harass anybody or engage in fraudulent conduct, which are violations of our Terms of Use. It also implies that you cannot request that someone remove their work from the platform. The Upwork policies on payments, account creation, proposals, client confidentiality, and spam are still in effect.

Is there a maximum number of individuals I can add to my network?

No, you are allowed to add as many freelancers as you like.
